WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL

Dear Parents, 

WELCOME TO 3RD TERM 2021/ 2022 ACADEMIC SESSION 

 It was great to see our ever-loving children as they returned to school for the final term of this session. I say a big “THANK YOU” to our ever supportive parents for being solidly behind us and giving feedback as we make progress together. Our profound gratitude to God Almighty for His grace upon all the staff, pupils, parents and friends of our dear school. 

We will wrap up this term with both curricular and co-curricular activities lined up for our pupils. You, our parents are not left out as we also have some activities which would involve either your virtual or physical presence. 

We are in a celebration mood this term with the theme: CELEBRATION. At the end of this term, you would be convinced that it was truly a celebration term. Our whole school theme for the session remains INTEGRITY and we will strive to deliver all that we promised this session. 

ENHANCEMENT CLASSES: Our Enhancement Classes to further assist our children with Reading and Mathematics challenges will continue this term. The class is open to the primary pupils. Time for the enhancement class is 7:00am prompt. The pupils are expected to come with one exercise book and a jotter. Kindly contact me on 07084443673 for more details. Enhancement classes for this term begins on Monday 9th May, 2022. 

CODING AND ROBOTICS: Some of our primary classes have been engaging in coding classes. They would further be introduced to robotics this term in readiness for Coding and Robotics Club in the subsequent session. 

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Our co-curricular activities will commence on Thursday 5th May, 2022. In Happy Days School, our electives, clubs, games and sporting activities are integral part of our school curriculum which helps in the growth and development of our children. We will continue with our Swimming, Reading, Table tennis, Golf, Red Cross, Chess, Taekwondo and Ballet activities. We encourage you to allow your children take part in the preferred activities and remain there for the full session.  

All these activities are life-long skills which when acquired would help our children as they progress in life. 

COMPETITIONS: This session has been packed with both internal and external competitions and we are going for more this term. We will continue to expose our children to competitions and bring out the champions in them. 

LEARNING GOALS: Our learning goals for your child(ren) would be sent to you via email to assist you monitor the academic expectations for your child(ren) this term and also do a follow-up at home. 

SCHOOL CALENDAR: The school calendar which serves as a guide to assist you plan ahead is attached to this mail. Kindly go through it and plan your schedule. 

EARLY ARRIVAL: Daily resumption time is 8:00am PROMPT for both Nursery and Primary pupils. Our daily teaching/learning begins right from the assembly and we will not want any child to miss out on this.  Do not forget that after 8:00am and 8:30am for our Primary and Nursery respectively, the pupils coming late would be sent back home.  

15TH ANNIVERSARY: Hurray! It is our 15th Anniversary celebration! Our dear school would be 15 years on 1st July, 2022. There are line-up of various activities for the occasion. 

SCHOOL DAY OFF: There will not be school on 1st July, 2022. This is to enable us participate in our anniversary activities for the day. More details would be communicated to you.

 If the uniforms of your child(ren) are worn-out or short, kindly contact the administrative office for an immediate replacement as the children MUST be properly dressed at all times. 

 BALLET COSTUME: Please note that the colours of our ballet wear is pink with a pair of  black pop socks for weekly lessons and white pop socks for events. No other colour is permitted. Your child may wear his or her school uniform from home and put the costume in the bag. You can buy it or contact us. 

 TAEKWONDO COSTUME: The Taekwondo costume is available for purchase in the school. 

 SCHOOL LUNCH: Our delicious lunch comes at an affordable price per term. Kindly allow your child to participate.  Contact the administrative department for more details. Below is the lunch menu:

FRUITS:  Kindly be reminded that our children MUST come to school with fruits every Wednesday. No snacks or fizzy drinks would be allowed on Wednesdays. The fruits can come in form of fruit salad, smoothie or natural fruit juice. We will preserve the items in the fridge till ready for consumption. Kindly notify us whenever your child comes with an item to be refrigerated. Let us help our children to stay healthy. We will achieve this together. 

YEAR BOOK ADVERTS: Our annual Year Book would be out at the end of this term. We request that you place your adverts in this prestigious book which has a very wide coverage both locally and internationally. Deadline for advert placements and submission of posters and pictures to be used for the advert is 15th  May, 2022. 

PUPILS/PARENTS QUESTIONNAIRE: Please take out time to assist your child(ren) in filling the questionnaire attached. This will give us some necessary feedback to further enhance our service delivery to you. CLICK HERE 

ANTI-BULLY FORM: Thank you for filling our Anti-bully form. This is to assure you that we are against any form of bullying and would take disciplinary action against any offender. If you are yet to fill and return the form, kindly do so. 

SCHOOL FEES: Thank you for the prompt payment of your child(ren) school fees. Kindly note that only those who have paid or made commitment would be allowed access into the school premises.  

PLEASE PUT THE PROPER NARRATION OF ANY TRANSACTION MADE ON THE PAYMENT DETAILS AND SEND THE PAYMENT EVIDENCE TO THE BURSAR/SCHOOL ACCOUNTANT ON 08061397939.
