We are thrilled to welcome our pupils back to Happy Days School after the holiday break! The excitement was palpable as our students returned to their classrooms, eager to reunite with friends and teachers.

A New Term, A New Theme: PLANTS

This term, we are exploring the wonderful world of plants! Our theme, PLANTS, promises to be an engaging and interactive learning experience for our pupils. We will delve into the fascinating realm of plant life, encouraging our students to develop a deeper understanding of plants and appreciation for nature.

First-Day Highlights

Our first day back was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of enthusiasm. Here are a few highlights:

Warm welcomes: Our teachers and staff were delighted to greet our returning pupils, welcoming them back with open arms.
Classroom setup: Our classrooms were buzzing with activities as pupils settled into their new seating arrangements and organized their materials.
Icebreaker games: To help our students get reacquainted, we organized fun games that encouraged teamwork, communication, and creativity.

As we embark on this new term, our pupils can look forward to:

A warm welcome to Happy Days School… home away from home.

Happy Days School is a purpose-built school with modern infrastructure that gives a child a conducive learning atmosphere. It is situated within Gbagada neighbourhood in Lagos, Nigeria. Our operating hours are flexible but structured within 6:00am to 6:30pm. A day school for Crèche, Nursery and Primary education. Our children are between the ages of 2 months to 11 years old.

HDSchool began in July 1st, 2007 with a 2-months old baby. We accept children of all races and religions, treating each with respect. We encourage students to be life- long learners by instilling in them our core values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Accountability and Love.

We operate an Open-Door Policy with all stakeholders and ready to take feedback. We value academic success and also encourage talents of all kinds which include and not limited to arts, drama, music, public speaking, dance and sports. We believe a happy child is a successful child and we work to ensure every child enjoys school and achieves success.

HDSchool is committed to encouraging children develop personal values and thinking processes that will facilitate their intelligence and adaptability to a changing society and world to meet the 21st century advancement.

Our members of staff are passionate and dedicated. They are seasoned, courteous and professional with the knowledge of modern advanced learning tools. They embrace constant professional development and keep learning new concepts in education.

In HDSchool, we believe in excellence and we go the extra miles in paying attention to details.

Our teaching skills are innovative, consciously designed to promote creativity, self-expression, analytical and critical thinking. We are child-centred in our learning and a good collaboration between our students and teachers are evident. A good combination of traditional and modern learning with self-project works are given to our student to boost their thinking and creative skills. It helps in students’ independent learning. Our children are active during teaching/learning activities and are good listeners. They are always very excited to participate in internal and external competitions in which they come out among the tops.

We see every challenging situation as an opportunity to show our problem solving and innovative skills.

In HDSchool, no child is left behind as we ensure every learner is well engaged. We practice differentiation and inclusion to promote individual learning putting into perspective the visual, kinesthetic and auditory learners. We tailor our teaching to soothe every child’s needs.

In HDSchool, we pride ourselves in: Reading, Diction, Handwriting, Public Speaking and Mathematics.

Our school is a happy place and we ensure our children are happy always. We cannot achieve a happy environment without our parents being satisfied and that if why we work in a very close partnership with parents so that every child is fully supported. We will continually strive to meet the expectations of our highly valued parents.
